Catalyst and solid component of catalyst for the (co)polymerization of ethylene, comprising titanium, magnesium, chlorine, a protic organo-oxygenated compound Dp and a neutral aprotic electron-donor compound D, in the following molar ranges: Mg/Ti= 1.0-50; D/Ti= 1.0-15; Cl/Ti= 6.0-100; DP/D= 0.05-3; and a process for obtaining said component comprising the following steps in succession: (a) formation of a mixture and dissolution, in said electron-donor aprotic compound D, of a magnesium chloride and a titanium compound having formula (II): Tiv(OR3)aX(v-a) wherein each R3 independently represents a hydrocarbyl or acyl radical having from 1 to 15 carbon atoms; each X is selected from chlorine, bromine or iodine; ~v~ has the value of 3 or 4, and ~a~ is a number varying from 0 to ~v~, with a molar ratio between titanium and magnesium ranging from 1/1 to 50/1; (b) partial separation of the compound D from said mixture prepared in step (a) until a residue is obtained, solid at room temperature, wherein the D/Ti ratio ranges from 1.5 to 40, (c) formation of a suspension of said solid organo-oxygenated protic compound DP, in such a quantity that the molar ratio DP/D ranges from 0.1 to 1.2 and maintaining the mixture until equilibrium is reached, to form the desired solid component of catalyst.

La présente invention concerne un catalyseur et une composante solide de catalyseur, destinés à la (co)polymérisation d'éthylène, comprenant du titane, du magnésium, du chlore, un composé protique organo-oxygéné D¿p? et un composé neutre aprotique donneur d'électrons D, selon les proportions molaires suivantes: Mg/Ti= 1,0-50; D/Ti= 1,0-15; Cl/Ti= 6,0-100; D¿P?/D= 0,05-3. L'invention a également pour objet un procédé pour produire ladite composante, comprenant les étapes successives suivantes: (a) formation d'un mélange et dissolution, dans ledit composé aprotique donneur d'électrons D, d'un chlorure de magnésium et d'un composé de titane de formule (II): Ti?v¿(OR¿3?)¿a?X¿(v-a)? dans laquelle chaque R¿3? représente indépendamment un radical hydrocarbyle ou acyle ayant de 1 à 15 atomes de carbone, chaque X est choisi parmi le chlore, le brome et l'iode, v vaut 3 ou 4, et a est un nombre variant de 0 à v , avec un rapport molaire entre titane et magnésium, qui vaut de 1/1 à 50/1; (b) séparation partielle du composé D dudit mélange préparé dans l'étape (a) jusqu'à obtention d'un résidu, solide à température ambiante, le rapport D/Ti valant de 1,5 à 40; (c) formation d'une suspension dudit résidu solide dans un milieu d'hydrocarbure liquide; (d) adjonction à ladite suspension dudit composé protique organo-oxygéné D¿P?, en une quantité telle que le rapport molaire D¿P?/D vaut de 0,1 à 1,2, et préservation du mélange jusqu'à ce que l'équilibre soit atteint, afin de former la composante solide de catalyseur désirée.
