An improved structure for a lamp socket, the socket connects a lamp bulb, it is provided therein with a positive and a negative conducting piece to contact the lamp bulb. Electric wires are fixed on the other end of the lamp socket with a cover. One end of each of the positive or negative conducting piece pierces the insulation layers of the electric wires to contact the internal wires. The main design of the present invention is resided in providing two transversely "L" shaped fixing blocks on the external wall of the lamp socket, the fixing blocks can be closed to each other to form a wire hole opened in the up and down direction, thereby, a plurality of lamp sockets on the electric wires can be braided into a net like decorative lamp construction with the wires fixed on one side of the lamp socket.
