A process of synthesizing HBIW using a mineral acid, such as perchloric acid, as the acid catalyst is disclosed. According to the process, glyoxal, adjusted to a pH from 4 to 7, and benzylamine are reacted in the presence of the mineral acid for sufficient time to form HBIW. The resulting HBIW is then isolated according to conventional separation techniques.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de synthèse pour le produit cité, appelé parfois "hexabenzylhexaazaisowurtzitane" (HBIW), à l'aide d'un acide minéral tel que l'acide perchlorique en tant qu'acide catalyseur. Ce procédé consiste à faire réagir le glyoxal, dont le pH est corrigé de 4 à 7, et la benzylamine en présence de l'acide minéral pendant une durée suffisante pour obtenir la formation de HBIW. On isole ensuite ce produit en utilisant les techniques de séparation habituelles.
