A tapered electrode with a rounded tab portion and a grading electrode are disclosed for minimizing the concentration of current flow to localized areas of the electrode. The tapered electrode comprises a base portion and a tab portion with a rounded end. The grading electrode comprises areas of varying width and relative resistance which operate to grade current flow away from the terminal portion of the tapered electrode tab.
Cette invention concerne une électrode effilée comportant une partie de patte arrondie et une électrode de gradation permettant de réduire au maximum la concentration du flux de courant sur des zones localisées de l'électrode. L'électrode effilée présente une partie de base et une partie de patte dotée d'une extrémité arrondie. L'électrode de gradation comporte des zones de profondeur et de résistance relative variables qui servent à régulariser le flux de courant loin de la partie terminale de la patte de l'électrode effilée.
