A cryogenic liquid transfer system releases stored cryogen from a bulk storage tank (12) to a gas supply tank (16, 26) and a dispenser tank (18. 28). The liquid cryogen (10) in the gas supply tank (16, 26) is circulated through a heat exchange (54) and the gas generated is returned to the gas supply tank (16, 26) to pressurize it. The pressurized liquid cryogen is released from the gas supply tank (16. 26) so that it flows through a vaporizer (64). The gas produced by the vaporizer is bubbled through the liquid cryogen in the dispenser tank (18, 28) so as to raise its temperature and pressure to the level required by the use device being serviced. Gas from the vaporizer is then delivered to the space above the liquid cryogen in the dispenser tank (18, 28) to create a pressure head to cause the liquid cryogen to flow to the use device. A venturi (40) is used to reduce the pressure in the bulk storage tank.

L'invention porte sur un système de transfert d'un liquide cryogénique depuis une citerne (12) de stockage vers un réservoir (16, 26) de fourniture de gaz, puis vers réservoir de distribution (18, 28). Dans le réservoir (16, 26) de fourniture de gaz, le liquide cryogénique traverse un échangeur de chaleur (54) et le gaz ainsi produit retourne au réservoir (16, 26) qu'il met sous pression. Le liquide cryogénique sous pression sort du réservoir (16, 26) et traverse un vaporisateur (64) qui produit à son tour du gaz qui traverse sous forme de bulles le liquide cryogénique du réservoir de distribution (18, 28) et porte sa température et sa pression aux niveaux requis par le dispositif utilisateur desservi. Dans le réservoir de distribution (18, 28), le gaz provenant du vaporisateur parvient dans l'espace surmontant le liquide cryogénique où il crée un différentiel de pression assurant le transfert du liquide cryogénique vers son dispositif utilisateur. Un venturi (40) permet de réduire la pression dans la citerne (12).
