The present invention relates to a container, or a cap (10) for a container for containing viscous liquid products. The container or the cap comprises a venting means (20). Said venting means (20) allows passage of gases between the interior and the exterior of container when the pressure inside said container differs from the external ambient pressure. Said container or cap further comprises a control means (30) which controls the phase separation of said product splashed onto said membrane.
