An improved viewing window construction for an electrical disconnect switch. The improved construction of the viewing window permits easier installation of the viewing window while at the same time reducing the complexity of the switch cover manufacturing process, eliminating the need for a window retainer and increasing the resistance to the ingress of water when subjected to a stream of water under pressure.
