The present invention describes use of a fluid having a VI of at least 130 to improve the en- ergy efficiency of a hydraulic system. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a hy- draulic system comprising a hydraulic fluid having a VI of at least 130, a unit for creating mechanical power, a unit that converts mechanical power into hydraulic energy, and a unit that converts hydraulic energy into mechanical work. Preferentially, engine speed can be reduced to decrease load and stress while delivering the same amount of hydraulic power.

La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'un fluide présentant un indice de viscosité d'au moins 130 pour améliorer le rendement énergétique d'un système hydraulique. De plus, la présente invention concerne un système hydraulique comportant un fluide hydraulique présentant un indice de viscosité d'au moins 130, une unité servant à générer une puissance mécanique, une unité convertissant la puissance mécanique en énergie hydraulique et une unité convertissant l'énergie hydraulique en travail mécanique. De préférence, la vitesse du moteur peut être réduite pour diminuer la charge et les contraintes tout en délivrant la même quantité de puissance hydraulique.
