Swaging press comprising a system for regulating the blank holder force by using fluid compensation cylinders (5, 7). The variation of the effort in the blank holder pressure regulation areas is thus compensated so as to maintain in the conventional blank holder area a predetermined constant pressure. According to certain alternatives, owing to the present invention, said pressure in the conventional blank holder area can also be made variable.
