A clothes line assembly including: a support; a line carrier which is adapted to have attached thereto a plurality of lines to which clothing or other articles can be secured, the line carrier being operatively mounted to the support for movement between an in-use position in which it extends laterally from the support and a non-use position; the support including a support frame which is mountable to a wall or similar structure, the line carrier being pivotally mounted to the support frame for pivotal movement between the in-use and non-use positions; and a cover arranged so that when the line carrier is in the non-use position the cover and line carrier can adopt a stowed position in which the cover can conceal the line carrier from view, and in which the cover substantially abuts the lines and/or the line carrier, wherein the cover includes a panel operatively connected to the line carrier so that in an operative position with the line carrier in the in-use position the cover is disposed above and in spaced relation from the lines on the line carrier.
L~invention concerne un ensemble d~étendage de linge, comportant : un support ; un porte-cordes auquel peuvent être attachées une pluralité de cordes sur lesquelles du linge ou d~autres articles peuvent être fixés, le porte-cordes étant monté de manière fonctionnelle sur le support pour pouvoir se déplacer entre une position d~utilisation dans laquelle il se déploie latéralement par rapport au support, et une position de non-utilisation ; le support comportant un cadre-support susceptible d~être monté sur une paroi ou une structure similaire, le porte-cordes étant monté pivotant sur le cadre-support pour pouvoir pivoter entre les positions d~utilisation et de non-utilisation ; et un capot conçu de telle sorte que, lorsque le porte-cordes occupe la position de non-utilisation, le capot et le porte-cordes puissent adopter une position escamotée dans laquelle le capot dissimule le porte-cordes et dans laquelle le capot vient sensiblement buter contre les cordes et/ou le porte-cordes. L~invention est caractérisée en ce que le capot comporte un panneau couplé de manière fonctionnelle au porte-cordes de telle sorte, lorsque lui et le porte-cordes occupent une position fonctionnelle dans la position de non-utilisation, il soit disposé au-dessus et à l~écart des cordes sur le porte-cordes.
