There is provided a method of providing an improved biofuel, by the presence of an additive which is the reaction product of (i) a compound containing the segment -NR1 R2 where R1 represents a group containing from 4 to 44 carbon atoms and R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a group R1 (for example di- hydrogenated tallow amine) and (ii) a carboxylic acid having from 1 to 4 carboxylic acid groups or an acid anhydride or acid chloride thereof (for example phthalic acid or phthalic anhydride). The additives described combat problems arising from precipitation at temperatures above the cloud point.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fourniture d'un biocarburant amélioré, par la présence d'un additif qui est le produit de réaction de (i) un composé contenant le segment -NR1 R2 dans lequel R1 représente un groupe contenant de 4 à 44 atomes de carbone et R2 représente un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe R1 (par exemple une suif amine dihydrogénée) et (ii) un acide carboxylique ayant de 1 à 4 groupes acide carboxylique ou un anhydride d'acide ou un chlorure d'acide de celui-ci (par exemple l'acide phtalique ou l'anhydride phtalique). Les additifs décrits pallient les problèmes issus de la précipitation à des températures supérieures au point de turbidité.
