A vented colostomy pouch comprising in combination an envelope-like container ofthin, flexible waterproof material having a pair of opposite sides and upper and lower portions, an aperture extending through one of said sides at a location in the upper portion of said container, an open-centered generally annular member secured to said one of said sides in a position generally encircling said aperture to form an enlargement thereof constituting a vent opening and a plug-type closure member releasably and removably retained within said annular member to seal said vent opening, such that removal of said closure member vents the interior of said container through said opening and replacement of said closure member closes and reseals said opening.

Il s'agit d'une poche pour colostomie munie d'un dispositif d'aération qui comprend un contenant de type enveloppe fait d'un matériau mince, souple et imperméable ayant deux côtés opposés et des parties supérieure et inférieure, une ouverture traversant l'un de ces côtés à un endroit situé sur la partie supérieure du dit contenant, un élément de forme généralement annulaire ouvert en son centre attaché au dit côté dans une position où il encercle généralement ladite ouverture de manière à constituer un élargissement de celle-ci, ce qui crée une ouverture d'aération, et un élément de fermeture de type bouchon qui est retenu à l'intérieur du dit élément annulaire, mais qui peut en être retiré, de façon à sceller ladite ouverture d'aération; ainsi, le retrait de l'élément de fermeture permet d'aérer l'intérieur du dit contenant par l'ouverture en question, et la remise en place de l'élément de fermeture referme et scelle ladite ouverture.
