The invention provides a cartridge (10) for dispensing fluent materials into creases of garments to render them more permanent. The cartridge comprises a plastic elongated body (50) having an integral tongue (16) projecting laterally of the body at one end and through which the fluent composition (40) is dispensed by passing a piston (32) along the inside of the body. The tongue is a narrow member and is aligned with integral laterally projecting fins (18, 20) which fit into the crease of a garment to be rendered permanent. The tongue has a narrow rectangular bore into which fits a nozzle also having a narrow rectangular bore. The tongue bore and the nozzle bore are aligned with the fins, so as to provide maximum exactness in alignment of the body, crease and ribbon of composition which is dispensed from the nozzle. The design maximises application efficiency by ensuring registry with the crease and nozzle. The invention also discloses other aspects of the cartridge including a means for preventing refilling and an improved arrangement of a cartridge adapted so that the piston is propelled by compressed air.
L'invention porte sur des cartouches (10) distributrices de matériaux fluides sur les plis de vêtements ou de tissus pour les rendre plus permanents. Une cartouche consiste en un corps (3) allongé de plastique muni d'une languette (16) intégrée saillant latéralement du corps à une extrémité et par laquelle le produit (40) est éjecté après être passé par un piston (32) se déplaçant le long de l'intérieur du corps. La languette, étroite et alignée sur une ailette (18, 20) intégrée saillant latéralement s'adaptant au pli du vêtement à rendre permanent, présente une fente rectangulaire étroite recevant une buse présentant également une fente rectangulaire étroite. Les fentes de la languette et de la buse sont alignés sur l'ailette afin d'obtenir un alignement rigoureux du corps, du pli, et du ruban de colle sortant de la buse. Cette conception améliore au maximum l'efficacité d'application en assurant la mise en coïncidence du pli et de la buse. L'invention porte en outre sur d'autres aspects de la cartouche dont un moyen d'empêcher sa recharge, et une disposition améliorée assurant la propulsion du piston par de l'air comprimé.
