A method of conducting polymerisation reactions on a rotating surface reactor which allows substantially increased conversions (up to around 99 %) to be achieved without a corresponding increase in polydispersity as would be expected as a result of the Trommsdorff-Norrish effect. The rotating surface reactor serves to disentangle and/or stretch growing polymer chains so as to result in better control over polymerisation kinetics.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de réaliser des réactions de polymérisation sur un réacteur à surface rotative, permettant une augmentation sensible des conversions (jusqu'à 99%) sans augmentation correspondante de la polydispersité normalement attendue à la suite de l'effet Trommsdorff-Norrish. Le réacteur à surface rotative permet de démêler et/ou d'étirer des chaînes polymères croissantes, ce qui permet d'obtenir une meilleure régulation des cinétiques de la polymérisation.
