2142183 9429098 PCTABS00034 In an established method of lining underground pipelines and passageways a lining tube which is impregnated with curable synthetic resin is filled with hot water to press the tube to the pipeline or passageway surface and also to heat cure the resin. When the cure has been completed the lining remains free standing in the pipeline or passageway surface. In this invention the same lining operation is performed but the heating is in stages by isolating lengths of the lining tube in turn and by circulating hot water through the isolated lengths in turn. Considerable advantage is obtained in that much less water needs to be heated.
On a mis au point un procédé de revêtement intérieur de pipelines et de passages dans lequel on utilise un tube de revêtement imprégné d'une résine synthétique durcissable, lequel est rempli d'eau chaude afin de pousser le tube par pression contre la surface du pipeline ou du passage, et également de durcir à chaud la résine. Une fois le durcissement effectué, le revêtement reste libre dans la surface du pipeline ou du passage. Dans cette invention, on effectue la même opération de revêtement, mais on procède au chauffage par étapes en isolant des longueurs du tube de revêtement et en faisant circuler l'eau chaude dans les longueurs calorifugées, tour à tour. L'avantage considérable obtenu réside dans le fait que l'on n'a besoin de chauffer que très peu d'eau.
