A tangential tobacco/air separator, of the type including a cylindrical perforated separator screen disposed in a housing and a rotary airlock by which tobacco, separated from pneumatic conveyance air, passes from the housing, comprises with a single assembly which provides both the cylindrical screen and the rotary airlock.
