A method for making a packing material from a stack of paper sheets by folding the sheets over lengthwise, moving the folded paper stack, crumpling the paper and assembling the crumpled paper by applying pressure at a series of points, wherein the folding, moving, crumpling and assembling steps are carried out in a series of separate stations.

Procédé pour la fabrication d'un matériau de calage/rembourrage à partir d'une superposition de feuilles de papier, par repli longitudinal de ces feuilles sur elles-mêmes, entraînement de l'ensemble replié, froissage de l'ensemble et assemblage de l'ensemble froissé par des compressions ponctuelles successives, caractérisé en ce que les opérations de repli, d'entraînement, de froissage et d'assemblage sont exécutées séparément en des postes successifs indépendants les uns des autres.
