The invention concerns a multiple capillary electrophoresis device comprising a plurality of juxtaposed capillaries (2a), means (4, 5) for generating inside the capillaries (2a) an electric field ensuring electrophoretic migration, at least one source for emitting a beam designed to excite the molecules at the capillary output, means for detecting the fluorescence of the molecules excited by said beam. The invention is characterised in that it comprises means (5, 7) for generating another electric field, called confinement electric field, which is regularly distributed around said capillaries and which is substantially parallel thereto, said electric field confining the electrophoretic migration field and forcing the molecules to move substantially without divergence in the axis of said capillaries (2a).
Dispositifs d'électrophorèse multicapillaires comportant une pluralité de capillaires (2a) juxtaposés, des moyens (4, 5) pour générer à l'intérieur des capillaires (2a) un champ électrique qui assure la migration électrophorétique, au moins une source pour l'émission d'un faisceau destiné à exciter des molécules en sortie du capillaire, des moyens pour détecter la fluorescence des molécules excitées par ledit faisceau, caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte des moyens (5, 7) pour générer un autre champ électrique, appelé champ électrique de confinement, qui est réparti de façon uniforme autour desdits capillaires et qui est sensiblement parallèle à ceux-ci, ce champ électrique confinant le champ de migration électrophorétique et imposant aux molécules de se déplacer sensiblement sans divergence dans l'axe desdits capillaires (2a).
