A vehicular suspension system for a vehicle respectively supported on at least one pair of transversely adjacent front support assemblies and at least one pair of transversely adjacent back support assemblies, the suspension system including a force transmitting means interconnecting the at least one pair of transversely adjacent front support assemblies and a force transmitting means interconnecting the at least one pair of transversely adjacent back support assemblies, the force transmitting means transferring forces between the interconnected support assemblies, wherein each force transmitting means includes connection means for progressively varying the magnitude and direction of the force transferred between the associated support assemblies by the force transmitting means as a function of the relative positions of and the load applied to at least two pairs of the interconnected support assemblies, the connection means being functionally linked such that the magnitude and the direction of the force transmitted between associated support assemblies by each of the force transmitting means is progressively varied to thereby maintain and return the attitude of the vehicle to a position that is at least substantially parallel to the average surface plane supporting the vehicle.

L'invention porte sur un système de suspension pour véhicule reposant respectivement sur au moins une paire d'ensembles de support avant adjacents transversalement, et au moins une paire d'ensembles de support arrière adjacents transversalement, et comportant un moyen de transmission de forces interconnectant la ou les paires d'ensembles de support avant adjacents transversalement et un moyen de transmission de force interconnectant la ou les paires d'ensembles de support arrière adjacents transversalement transmettant les forces entre les ensembles de support interconnectés. Chacun des moyens de transmission de forces comporte des moyens de liaison permettant de faire varier progressivement l'amplitude et la direction des forces transférées entre les ensembles de support associés à l'aide du moyen de transmission de forces en fonction de la position relative et de la charge appliquée à au moins deux paires d'ensembles de support interconnectés, le moyen d'interconnexion étant régi par une relation fonctionnelle telle que l'amplitude et la direction de la force transmise entre les ensembles de support associés par chacun des moyens de transmission de forces varie progressivement de façon à maintenir ou rétablir l'assiette du véhicule dans une position au moins sensiblement parallèle au plan moyen de la surface où se tient le véhicule.
