An improvement in the sealing of bonded batts of fiberfill is obtained by providing a barrier layer of bonded bicomponent binder fibers on one or both faces of the remainder of the batt to prevent or reduce the tendency of the fiberfill to leak through such faces.

L'invention a trait à des améliorations apportées à la consolidation de nappes doublées à base de fibres d'ouatinage, rendues possibles par la mise en place d'une couche barrière, faite de fibres liantes biconstituantes liaisonnées, sur l'une des faces ou sur les deux faces du restant de la nappe et ce, afin de faire obstacle à la tendance des fibres d'ouatinage à traverser lesdites faces ou à affaiblir cette tendance.
