There is provided a method for producing lignocellulosic composites. This method is useful in reducing the thickness swell of these composites on their exposure to water. This method also is useful in reducing the hot-press times required to make lignocellulosic composites. Furthermore, there is provided a method by which wax sizing may be used without the previously expected reduction in physical properties. Also, there is provided a method by which caul plate sticking may be reduced when hydrogen peroxide is used as a furnish add-on.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de composites lignocellulosiques particulièrement utile pour réduire le gonflement en épaisseur de ces composites une fois ceux-ci exposés à l'eau. Ce procédé permet en outre de réduire la durée de pressage à chaud nécessaire pour fabriquer des composites lignocellulosiques. Cette invention concerne également un procédé utilisant une cire comme agent d'ensimage, ce qui permet d'éviter toute altération des propriétés physiques desdits composites. Cette invention concerne enfin un procédé utilisant du peroxyde d'hydrogène comme ajout d'enduction, ce qui permet de réduire le collage de plaques d'acier.
