The present invention relates to systems and methods for network communication between a client (208) and server (220) via multiple proxies(120a~,120n). A network protocol is used to establish and control an end-to-end connection between the client and the server via a single handshake mechanism (350). Through the protocol and end-to-end handshake, the proxies can participate in the establishment of the end-to-end connection. The present invention also provides a method and system by which a connection from one end-point to another end-point can be independently controlled and configured by the proxies along the connection path. Furthermore, the protocol is forward- compatible so that different proxies can be upgraded to different protocol versions at different times and the end-to-end connection control continues to operate.
La présente invention concerne des systèmes et procédés de communication par réseau entre un client (208) et un serveur (220) via plusieurs mandataires (120a 120n). On utilise un protocole de réseau pour établir et gérer une connexion de bout-en-bout entre le client et le serveur via un unique mécanisme de passage de témoin (350). Le passage de témoin sous protocole et de bout-en-bout permet aux mandataires de participer à l'établissement de la connexion de bout-en-bout. L'invention concerne également un procédé et un système permettant qu'une connexion d'une extrémité de réseau à une autre extrémité de réseau soit gérée indépendamment et configurée par les mandataires sur tout le chemin de la connexion. En outre, le protocole est compatible avec les réacheminements ce qui permet la mise à niveau des différents mandataires en fonction des différentes versions du protocole en des instants différents, la gestion de connexion de bout-en-bout continuant à fonctionner.
