An in line ozone generator unit, comprises a water circulation chamber and an arrangement of a first tubular element axially received in a second tubular element and forming a gap between the tubular elements. The second tubular element has a dielectric longitudinal portion extending in the water circulation chamber and in contact with the water. The first tubular element has an electrically conductive longitudinal portion facing the dielectric longitudinal portion. The gap defines an electric discharge area. An electric terminal is provided for external electrical connection with the electrically conductive longitudinal portion. Oxygen is supplied through an inlet port to the electric discharge area and ozone produced as a result of the oxygen being subjected to electric discharges in the area is released through an opposite ozone outlet port.
