ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A guard for preventing in-line roller skates from rolling when the user is wearing the skates, consists of an extruded polyvinyl chloride rail which has a longitudinal groove to accept the wheels of an in-line rollerskate. The inside walls of this groove are lined with inward facing teeth which will clamp onto a typical in- line roller skate wheel. A retention strap over top of the in-line rollerskate boot will also ensure that the guard stays in place. A wheel chock will be fastened into the longitudinal groove of the rail to prevent for-aft movement of the in-line roller skate within the guard. The in-line roller skate, consists of a three, four, or five wheel combination of varying wheelbase and distance between wheel centers. Some manufacturers offer skate platforms in which the middle wheel or wheels may be dropped relative to the ground contact plain, thus resulting in a wheel platform configuration known as a rocker. The combinations of all the features hereafter claimed will result in an in-line roller skate guard which will be safe an easy to use.
