The invention provides liquid controlled-release drug delivery compositions which gel upon injection into the body to form, in situ, controlled-release drug implants. The compositions of the invention feature a gel-forming polymer that is insoluble in water, a polyethylene glycol solvent in which the polymer is dissolved, and the drug substance to be delivered.

L'invention concerne des compositions de libération de médicaments liquides qui se gélifient après injection dans le corps pour former, in situ, des implants de médicaments à libération contrôlée. Les compositions de l'invention sont caractérisées par un polymère gélifiant insoluble dans l'eau, un solvant de polyéthylèneglycol dans lequel le polymère est dissous, ainsi que la substance médicamenteuse à libérer.
