Disclosed is a personal care composition comprising: (a) water or an alcohol, (b) at least one dispersant or surfactant, and (c) as an antimicrobial or preservative additive, particles of an in-situ transchelation reaction product of a zinc compound selected from the group consisting of zinc salts of organic acids, zinc salts of inorganic acids, zinc hydroxide, zinc oxide, and combinations thereof, said zinc compound being soluble in said water or alcohol, with pyrithione acid or a pyrithione salt that is soluble in said water or alcohol. Also disclosed is a process for preparing the personal care composition, and a coated substrate containing a coating of the personal care composition.
L'invention concerne une composition d'hygiène personnelle qui comporte: (a) de l'eau ou un alcool, (b) au moins un dispersant ou un tensioactif, et (c) en guise d'additif antimicrobien ou d'additif de conservation, des particules du produit de la réaction de transchélation in situ d'un composé de zinc choisi dans le groupe constitué de sels de zinc d'acides organiques, de sels de zinc d'acides inorganiques, d'hydroxyde de zinc, d'oxyde de zinc, et de leurs combinaisons, ledit composé de zinc étant soluble dans l'eau ou l'alcool dont il est question en (a), avec de l'acide de pyrithione ou un sel de pyrithione également soluble dans l'eau ou l'alcool cité en (a). L'invention concerne aussi un procédé permettant de préparer la composition d'hygiène personnelle, et un substrat enduit avec un revêtement constitué de ladite composition.
