ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is disclosed for lining pipe section with a rigid tubular liner of synthetic polymer by pulling the liner through diameter-reducing rollers adjusted so that the resultant outside diameter of the liner while under a diameter-reducing stress is sufficiently smaller than the inside diameter of the pipe section that the liner may be readily drawn through the pipe section under diameter-reducing stress, and releasing the stress on the liner, thus allowing the liner to expand into contact with the inside wall of the pipe section. The rollers are driven at a rate sufficient to maintain the tensile stress on the pipe liner below the tensile yield limit of the polymer.
