90-181 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention is drawn to a process for removing effluents from off-gases generated by the combustion of a hydrocarbon fuel and, more particularly, a process as aforesaid wherein an effluent sorbent is injected in the form of a spray of a liquid solution, slurry or dry solid into the off-gas stream downstream of the combustion zone at a controlled off-gas stream temperature.
