The present invention relates to an in vitro method for identifying and assessing compounds useful for treating various types of cancer, particularly lung cancer, breast cancer, colorectal cancer and bladder cancer, with a view to determining the stage or severity of the cancer in a patient, or to monitor the effect of the therapy carried out on the cancer patient. The invention further relates to finding, identifying, developing and assessing the efficacy of cancer therapy compounds with a view to developing novel drugs; as well as agents that inhibit the expression and/or activity of protein choline kinase alpha and/or the effects of such expression.
L'invention concerne une méthode in vitro permettant d'identifier des composés pour la thérapie du cancer. Elle se rapporte à une méthode in vitro d'identification et d'évaluation de composés éthyles dans le traitement de différents types de cancer, notamment le cancer du poumon, du sein, du colon et de la vessie chez un malade afin de déterminer le stade ou la gravité du cancer ou pour surveiller l'effet de la thérapie que suit un malade. L'invention concerne en outre la recherche, l'identification, la mise au point et l'évaluation de l'efficacité de composés pour la thérapie du cancer afin de mettre au point de nouveaux médicaments et des agents inhibant l'expression et/ou l'activité de la protéine choline kinase alpha et/ou les effets de cette expression.
