The present invention relates to the use of a rodent's mandibular incisor as an experimental model for the local and selective targeting of the odontogenic organ and its associated periodontal tissues. A surgical technique was developed to create a 'window' in the alveolar bone overlying the apex of the rodent incisor to allow direct diffusion of specific experimental agents. While direct deposition in the window is possible in some circumstances, an osmotic minipump is preferred to deliver the specific experimental agents in the window.
La présente invention concerne l'utilisation d'une incisive mandibulaire de rongeur comme modèle expérimental de ciblage local et sélectif de l'organe odontogénique et de ses tissus périodontiques associés. On a développé une technique chirurgicale pour créer une "fenêtre" dans l'os alvéolaire recouvrant le sommet de l'incisive du rongeur afin de permettre la diffusion directe d'agents expérimentaux spécifiques. Alors qu'un dépôt direct dans la fenêtre est possible dans certaines circonstances, une mini-pompe osmotique est préférée pour amener les agents expérimentaux spécifiques dans la fenêtre.
