An in-wall display assembly is provided for mounting in a passage extending at least partway through a wall. The display assembly has a chamber with opposite front and rear walls, opposite end walls extending between the front and rear walls, an open top defined by the front, rear and end walls and a bottom opposite the top. At least one of the front and rear walls is transparent. The display assembly includes a mounting assembly securable to opposite sides of the passage for mounting the chamber to the opposite sides of the passage. The mounting assembly is movable between an in-wall configuration wherein the chamber is disposed in the passage and an access position wherein at least the top of the vessel extends from the welt to provide access to its interior.
