A slope adjustment ring for manhole covers, the lower portion of which fits into the seating designed to accommodate the upper part of the cover. An intermediate part of variable thickness allows the seating to be angled. Two rings, one on top of the other, can be turned to set the cover to any angle from perfectly horizontal to twice the slope possible with only one ring, so that it can be installed to conform precisely to the slope of adjacent surface. The slope adjusting ring will be made of either steel or cast iron, like the seatings and covers themselves; the lower portion will be fitted with equally spaced threaded holes to hold it securely in position in the seating or inside another similar ring.
Un anneau d'ajustement en pente pour couvercle de regard, s'insérant par sa portion inférieure dans le logement du cadre destiné à recevoir le couvercle et apte à loger ledit couvercle dans sa portion supérieure. Une portion intermédiaire d'épaisseur variable donne une pente au logement du couvercle. Deux anneaux superposés permettront en les pivotants d'installer le couvercle dans n'importe quelle position allant de parfaitement horizontale jusqu'à une inclinaison double de celle offerte par un seul anneau, permettant ainsi une installation en parfait accord avec la pente du terrain avoisinant. L'anneau d'ajustement en pente sera en acier ou en fonte tel que les cadres et couvercles auxquels il est destiné, et sera muni de trous taraudés, également espacés, dans sa portion inférieure afin de le maintenir solidement en position à l'intérieur du cadre ou d'un autre anneau semblable.
