The invention relates to a stub-type guide roller (1) or (2) which is characterised by a peripheral edge (27). The profile of said edge has a break (30), for example a step, on the inside, the shape and position thereof enabling the shrouding (28) to be kept at a distance from the existing bearing (8) or (9) in the direction of the guiding rail (4), in the event of a lateral force on the roller. The invention can be applied to arrangements for guiding road vehicles along a guiding rail.

Le galet de guidage (1) ou (2) du type à mentonnet se particularise par un rebord périphérique (27) dont la forme de profil présente côté intérieur un décrochement (30) par exemple un redan, de forme et de position permettant, en cas d~effort latéral sur le galet, de maintenir le bandage (28) de celui-ci à distance de la piste de roulement (8) ou (9) existant en regard sur le rail (4) de guidage. Cette invention trouve application dans les ensembles de guidage pour véhicules routiers le long d~un rail de guidage.
