A method of controlling the friction coefficients and improving the friction durability of an oleaginous composition, such as an ATF, comprising adding to the composition a combination of competing additives comprising (a) at least one friction reducing chemical additive having a polar head group other than a dialkoxylated amino group and a friction reducing substituent group, and at least one non-friction reducing additive (b) having a dialkoxylated amino polar head group and having a substituent group which has no material friction raising or lowering effect (non-friction reducing additive) on the composition.
Procédé pour réguler le coefficient de frottement et pour accroître la tenue au frottement d'une composition oléagineuse telle que de l'ATF, consistant à lui ajouter une combinaison de deux additifs concurrents dont (a) au moins un additif chimique réduisant le frottement présentant un groupe de tête polaire autre qu'un groupe aminodialcoxylé et un groupe substituant réduisant le frottement, et (b) au moins un additif ne réduisant pas le frottement présentant un groupe de tête polaire aminodialcoxylé et un groupe substituant sans influence sur le coefficient de frottement de la composition (additif ne réduisant pas le frottement).
