ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thresher comprising rotating plates connected to- gether by rods and being provided with a spaced series of mounting plates and a slot adjacent each of the mounting plates. A plurality of cutters are each connected to one of the series of mounting plates and have one end disposed in the slot adjacent the mounting plate to which the cutter is connected. Each of the cutters extend radially outward from the rotating plate and has opposed edges providing two cutting faces tapered toward one another. One of the two cutting faces of each of the cutters advances in the direction of rotation of the rotating plate urging threshed tobacco outwardly from the rotating plate.
