ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In this indicating device the passengers waiting at a floor can re- cognize immediately, whether the calls entered by them at the floor for desired destination floors have been assigned to an arriving car or not, so that rapid entry decisions can be taken. To this pur- pose an indicator (10) of the indicating device exhibits a first and a second indicator element in the form of an upward- respec- tively downward arrow, and a further indicator element signalizing an entry prohibition. A circuit (9) connected with the indicator (10) by way of three inputs (e1, e2, e3) activates through the first and second input (e1, e2) the first respectively the second indicator element, if the entered calls are assigned to the arriv- ing car (3), and by way of the third input (e3) the further indi- cator element, if the entered calls have not been assigned to a car (3) arriving at a floor.
