A moving magnet type of indicating instrument has a magnet mounted in bobbins and connected to a needle shaft. Coils are wound on the bobbins, and the bobbins are housed in a magnetic shielding case. The construction is improved to minimise the risk of accidental electrical contact between the case and wires from the coils, and to render the construction more compact and the shape of the parts more open to choice.
