ABSTRACT An indicating mechanism for a dispenser in a copier machine. The dispensing mechanism comprises a container designed to store and dispense a quantity of developer of the kind having a toner dispersed within a carrier containing iron filings. A magnetic switching device is magnetically attracted to the iron filings of said carrier, while developer still remains in the container. When the container empties of developer, the magnetic switch is no longer held in an attracted position, thus signaling the depletion of the developer mix within the container. A jogging mechanism engageable with the magnetic switching device provides a novel mechanical means for providing a flashing signal.
