For reducing the very extensive manual labour in connection with the production of pelts, there is disclosed an individual identification and transport system for use in the handling of killed furred animals and fur pelts, namely mink and mink pelts on mink farms, pelt processing plants, collection and sorting centres, auction houses, tanneries, and with other processing of pelts from furred animals, which is characterised in that it comprises an electronically readable data media (6) for individual identification data (ID-data) for an actual furred animal, and where the electronically readable data media (6) is integrated in a transport and handling arrangement (2) which is inserted through the nostrils of a relevant furred animal immediately after the furred animal has been killed, said transport and handling arrangement (2) constituting a part of a transport and handling system for transport and handling of furred animals and pelts, and which remains together with the pelt from the time at which it is inserted into the pelt until this is processed into furs. By the combination of the system according to the invention with empty ing/filling stations and computer-controlled sorting plants, it thus becomes possible to reduce the amount of manual work for the fur farmer as well as at the auction houses.
L'invention permet de réduire l'important travail manuel impliqué par la production de peaux à fourrure, au moyen d'un système de transport et d'identification individuelle utilisé lors de la manipulation des animaux à fourrure tués et des peaux à fourrure, à savoir les visons et les peaux de visons dans les visonnières, les installations de traitement des peaux, les centres de collecte et de tri, les salles de vente, les tanneries, et lors d'autres traitements de peaux d'animaux à fourrure. Le système précité est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend un support de données lisible électroniquement (6) contenant des données d'identification individuelles (données ID) correspondant à un animal à fourrure déterminé, lequel support de données lisible électroniquement (6) est intégré dans un mécanisme de transport et de manipulation (2) qui est inséré dans les narines d'un animal à fourrure immédiatement après que ce dernier ait été tué, le mécanisme de transport et de manipulation (2) faisant partie d'un système de transport et de manipulation d'animaux à fourrures et de peaux à fourrure, et restant sur la peau depuis le moment où il y est inséré jusqu'à la transformation de la peau en fourrure. En combinant le système de l'invention avec des postes d'évacuation/remplissage et des installations de tri informatisées, il est possible de réduire la quantité de travail manuel requise dans les élevages d'animaux à fourrure et dans les salles de vente.
