The invention concerns a respiratory device for protection against NBC comprising an oro-nasal mask provided with a breathing mixture intake and an exhalation outlet an exhalation valve as well as a breathing mixture connecting piece borne by an element separate from the mask and worn directly on the head. The connecting piece comprises a passage designed to be connected sealed to the supply of the oro-nasal mask and a lateral duct (34) shifting rearwards the connection with the breathing mixture supply (32).
