ABSTRACT At present health care workers are in danger of contacting infection when disposing of used needles and syringes. They can prick themselves when recapping syringe needles or be exposed to infection when picking up used needles to dispose of after use. In this invention, the health care worker would wear an individualized needle and syringe discard pouch. Thus, the used equipment would simply be dropped into the pouch eliminating the possibility of puncture or the handling of the equipment after use. When the pouch is filled, the whole pouch would be incinerated.
