An indoline compound represented by general formula (I); a physiologically acceptable salt thereof; solvates of theses compounds; and a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist containing the same as the active ingredient. In formula (I) R1 represents the group (a) or (b), R2 represents optionally substituted phenyl or heteroaryl; and R3 represents hydrogen, halogen, lower alkyl, hydroxy, lower alkoxy, carbamoyl or lower alkoxycarbonyl. The compound has a potent antagonism against 5-HT3 receptors in the intestinal tract as compared with the known 5-HT3 receptor antagonists and is excellent in the persistence of the activity. Hence it is useful for preventing or treating vomiting or nausea induced by chemotherapy or radiation, irritable bowel syndrome and diarrhea.
Composé d'indoline représenté par la formule générale (I); sel physiologiquement acceptable de celui-ci ; solvates de ces composés ; et antagoniste des récepteurs de 5-HT¿3? dans lesquels ceux-ci forment le principe actif. Dans la formule générale (I), R?1¿ représente le groupe : (a) ou (b), R?2¿ représente phényle ou hétéroaryle éventuellement substitué, et R?3¿ représente hydrogène, halogène, alkyle inférieur, un groupe hydroxy, alcoxy inférieur, carbamoyle ou alcoxycarbonyle inférieur. Ce composé est un antagoniste des récepteurs de 5-HT¿3? agissant au niveau du tractus intestinal, plus puissant que les antagonistes de récepteurs de 5-HT¿3? connus, et son activité est très longue. Il est donc utile pour empêcher ou traiter les vomissements ou les nausées induits par la chimiothérapie ou la radiothérapie, le syndrome du côlon irritable et la diarrhée.
