ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosure describes 1-(p-azidobenzoyl)-5-methoxy- 2-methyl-3-indolylacetic acid i.e. a compound of the formula: Image and its pharmaceutically acceptable salts, as well as its preparation. This compound exhibits a pharmacological activity similar to that of indomethacin but with surprisingly much lower toxicity and degree of undesirable side effects.
