ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An induction heating apparatus comprises a pair of inversely series connected first and second gate-controlled switching devices and a pair of feedback diodes each being in- versely parallel connected to the first and second switching devices, respectively. A high frequency resonant circuit is connected in series or parallel circuit relation with the gate- controlled switching devices to a source of low frequency alter- nating voltage. A gating circuit triggers the first and second switching devices in the order named during a first half cycle of the alternating voltage and in a reversed order during the second half cycle of the alternating voltage.
