The present invention relates to process for identifying a compound which induces the mitochondrial permeability transition (MPT) in proliferating cells, wherein said process comprises contacting a cell or cell extract with a compound, determining whether the compound binds to adenine nucleotide translocator (ANT), and determining whether the compound selectively induces the MPT in proliferating cells.

L'invention concerne un procédé d'identification d'un composé qui induit la transition de perméabilité mitochondriale (MPT) dans des cellules de prolifération. Ce procédé consiste à mettre en contact une cellule ou un extrait de cellule avec un composé; à déterminer si le composé se lie au translocateur à adénine nucléotide (ANT); et à déterminer si le composé induit sélectivement la MPT dans les cellules de prolifération.
