ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE N-(2-Methyl-1-naphthyl) maleimide has been found to be a potent biocide capable of protecting fabrics, plastics, paints, etc. from fungal and/or bacterial attack. This compound can also be conveniently diluted with an agriculturally acceptable diluent to form an emulsifiable concentrate or wettable powder.
