An industrial gas liquefaction cycle employing a main refrigeration circuit to supply low level refrigeration to the industrial gas (1, 2, 3, 4), and a forecooling circuit employing an azeotropic mixture (15, 50) to provide high level refrigeration to the refrigerant fluid (7) recirculating within the main refrigeration circuit. The azeotropic mixture may be subcooled (35) in the forecooling circuit.

L'invention concerne un cycle de liquéfaction de gaz industriel utilisant un circuit principal de réfrigération destiné à fournir une réfrigération de bas niveau au gaz industriel (1, 2, 3, 4), et un circuit de pré-refroidissement utilisant un mélange azéotropique (15, 50), destiné à fournir une réfrigération de haut niveau au fluide réfrigérant (7) qui recircule à l'intérieur du circuit principal de réfrigération.
