A method and system for creating a controllable (910), shaped and scalable graphical user interface object (401) for use in an application program displayed on a computer. An infinite resolution sheme may display a GUI in any shape at any size with minimal (912) or no loss of original image quality. When the image is resized or reshaped (914), the optimized vector image data is accessed so that the original quality of the image is captured and maintained.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour créer un objet d'interface graphique manipulable, configurable et échelonnable (910) destiné à être utilisé dans un programme d'application affiché sur un ordinateur. Un schéma à résolution infinie peut afficher une interface GUI de n'importe quelle forme ou de n'importe quelles dimensions avec des pertes minimales (912) ou nulles de la qualité d'image d'origine. Lorsque l'image change de dimensions ou de forme (914), on accède aux données optimisées d'image vectorielle de manière à capturer et à maintenir la qualité d'origine de l'image.
