ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE INFLATABLE BULKHEAD FOR A TRANSPORTATION VEHICLE An inflatable bulkhead for a rail car comprises a single bag formed from an external layer of a woven polypropylene material and two inner liners of high impermeability polyethylene, one inside the other. The bag is rectangular in shape and dimensioned to extend across the full width and height of the rail car. The bag is stitched around the edges and has a pair of tabs attached across the top edge for suspension of the bag across the vehicle by elastic cords attached to the ceiling. The bag provides a bulkhead between goods stored in an end portion of the rail car relative to goods stored in a second portion adjacent a central door of the rail car to prevent damage of the goods by vigorous movement within the rail car.
