An inflatable structural member, which utilises flexible cables and attachment points so as to create a rigid sidewall and longitudinal rigidity. The inflatable structural member is enclosed and attached to an inflatable aerodynamic structure comprising of an aerodynamic skin, the inflatable aerodynamic skin is positioned within a membrane that is physically movable about the inflatable membrane, however is partially attached to the trailing edge of the aerodynamic inflatable skin in a manner as to deform the airfoil in a manner such as an aileron. An inflatable balloon kite of varying sizes and designs for different uses from personal floatation device to aerial load bearing crane, with ailerons to generate lift and control and support devices such as an electrical generation wind turbine and a heating unit to allow for lighter than air flight as well as be a tethering point for a separate inflatable or lightweight wind driven turbine.
